There’s an abundance of yoga programs one can follow. It’s easy to get overwhelmed, however, and forget that some are better suited for beginners than others. This is why I’ve compiled a list of beginner yoga programs you should try — some are free while others have a small fee.
1. 3-Week-Absolute-Beginner-Program
This is a free 6-part video series that takes you through gentle yoga poses and breathing, as well as an introduction to meditation. It’s great for beginners because it introduces you to all the basic yoga poses in a safe and easy way.

2. Yoga 101
Yoga 101 is a free 20-minute yoga video featuring core and body weight strengthening poses.
This program is good for beginners because it shows basic yoga poses such as sun salutations, standing poses, back bends, and hip openers. I believe it’s also good for those who want to learn basic poses in a short time frame.
3. Beginner Power Yoga w/ Jackie
This online beginner yoga class is a great choice if you want to try yoga without committing to a longer program. It’s a series of 14 videos that guides you through 20-minute warm-ups, 30-minute power poses, and 10-minute cool down poses.
This yoga program is good for those who want to learn basic poses during a short period of time but not necessarily commit to a longer program.
4. Basic Beginner Yoga Program
The Basic Beginner Yoga Program is one of the most comprehensive beginner yoga programs you can follow. It takes you through 52 yoga poses in a short time frame, which allows you to get your feet wet as an aspiring yogi.
This is a great choice for someone who wants to experiment with many different types of yoga poses in a short period of time.
5. Beginner's Journey Program
This beginner yoga program is a great choice for someone who wants to learn yoga, meditation, and relaxation under one roof. It’s a series of 9 videos that you can follow at home through your computer or TV so you can practice anywhere.
This is an awesome beginner program because it teaches you basics of yoga in a simple way that anybody can follow.
6. Sri Vidya Yoga
This is an online program that takes you through basic seated and standing poses. It also introduces you to the basics of meditation and pranayama (breathing exercises).
This program is a great choice for someone who wants to learn basic yoga poses in a short amount of time.
There are a lot of options out there for those who want to learn yoga. Some programs are better suited for beginners than others, and this is why it’s important that you research and choose one based on your skill level. If you’re a beginner looking to get your feet wet, the 3-Week-Absolute-Beginner-Program is a good place to start.
